Friend Time....

Corinn and Kiera once again earned enough allowance to take a few friends out for a fun night. First they had dinner at CiCi's Pizza. Since we normally drink water at restaurants they were very excited that they could buy pop:) and get free refills. That might be the highlight of the night for them:)

Karis, Kendra and Eric all came along for the pizza.
After dinner Eric took Karis and Kendra home and I took the girls and their friends to the roller rink for some fun. I had such a good time hanging out with them there:). I love to roller skate and my girls have become pretty good skaters themselves so it is fun to do it with them.

After a few hours we came home for a sleepover. The girls choose to watch It's a Wonderful Life and then went to bed.

I'm so glad our girls agreed to spend their allowances on activities with friends. They are making some great memories that are worth way more than any toy they could buy.

Six Flags Great America.....

Last Wednesday Eric, Corinn, Kiera and myself made a trip to Great America. Both Corinn and Kiera worked to get their tickets through the read to succeed program.Corinn had gone with a friend last year, but this was Kiera's first time there. It was neat to see the place through her eyes.

We had a lot of fun hanging out together! In fact Eric and I enjoyed just talking and being with our older two the most.

It was extremely hot....100 degrees in fact. So we hit a few rides and water rides and then went to the water park.

We ended up leaving the park around 5, the heat was really getting to us, and then going out to dinner.

I love these ages, 9 and 7. We have begun to have great conversations with them and that's what we did at dinner and on the way home. We heard about their dreams for their futures and some silly stories.

Eric and I are so blessed to have such intersting and fun girls to hang out with!

China Town 09....

Each year we like to visit China Town in the city. We love how it feels like we are in another country and yet it only takes about 40 minutes to get there:).

We always stop at a bakery and get some yummies.

Then we walk around and window shop at some stores.

The girls had some of their own money to spend and they picked out these pretty umbrella's. Karis and Kendra picked out some little drums.

After we shop for a bit, we go have dinner at Joy Yee (thank you Heather for introducing us to this place.) Our entire family LOVES Chinese food so dinner here is a special treat.

We had a fun visit. And now there is another check on our summer poster:)!

Rinie's Love In Action

On my sister's last visit she once again cut all our hair....Thank you Auntie Kimie. What a blessing it is to get all the girls hair cut without going anywhere or paying anything (other than hugs and kisses:)!!!!

My sister suggested Corinn donate some hair to cancer patients since it was Sooooo long! After looking into some places we could donate too we decided on Pantene's Beautiful Lengths because they will take 8" ponytails where others require 10" ones. Rinie agreed...

Here LONG hair

The pony tail to donate.....

The cute short cut.
We're proud of Rinie for giving up her long hair that she loved to bless someone else!

Family Night.....

Last week our family night theme was....Drive-In....

(Eric ordering...I surprised him a bit with the camera:)

For dinner all of us went to Sonic. The one near us is brand new and we never visited it before. It was a fun little treat to pull up and eat in the car:)!
Then after dinner the older girls and I dropped Daddy and the little ones off at home and went to the Drive in Movie to see UP. It was fun to be out doors and cuddle a bit while we watched. It's a sweet sweet story( but I personally think it wouldn't be great for real little little ones.)

I love going on dates with my big girls...they're fun to hang out with!
